No! BoozeQuest scratches the tabletop RPG itch, but in a much simpler, bite-sized party game. You choose from premade Heroes, roleplay your actions, battle Monsters, collect Booty, and take turns controlling encounters as the DM. But instead of exploring an open world, you're racing along a game board toward the Booze Dragon and the legendary Everlasting Keg!
No character sheets, campaign prep, or dedicated Dungeon Master required. And if you're already playing a tabletop RPG, BoozeQuest can even be worked into an existing campaign as a ridiculous little side adventure.
...It's happened. And the results are always stupid and glorious.
Nope! BoozeQuest was built as a drinking game, but nobody at the table has to drink alcohol.
One of the PCs is The Monk: If a game has a DD or one sober participant, The Monk plays as a villainous troll. Stronger than the other Heroes, and hellbent on DESTROYING the Everlasting Keg, armed with powers that keep the other players from getting too hammered!
The Beer-O-Meter: A new addition to 2E, the Beer-O-Meter is an optional card anyone can use to make drink punishments effect their in-game player, and not them. Drink beer at your own pace as you play, mocktails, water, or nothing at all. We inclusive up in this bitch. ❤️
No! Nobody gets stuck running the game all night. BoozeQuest passes the role of DM around the table as you play, so everyone gets to be a Hero and everyone gets opportunities to unleash Monsters, drinks, and all manners of horrible things upon their friends.
Not at all. BoozeQuest was designed so people who have never touched a d20 can jump in alongside lifelong tabletop nerds.
If you know how to roll dice, follow a card, and make a questionable decision, you're qualified.
Both! You're all battling your way through the same castle, but only one Hero can claim the Everlasting Keg. Land on another player's square and you can challenge them to battle. Players will form temporary alliances, or agree to all gang up on that one guy talking shit. You're an adventuring party... until somebody gets between you and the Keg.
BoozeQuest hosts six drinking players, seven including the Monk. So 2-7, but many say the sweet spot is four players. Sessions usually take two hours, depending on size, and ability to stay focused!
Tons of stuff! Twice the monsters! An all new Booty Deck, which is a treasure/power up system accessed through new removable tiles on the board! There's also the Beer-O-Meter, an optional card that turns real-life drink punishments into status effects for your Hero, meaning you can drink casually or even play sober!
